childrens tea party set

I just love all these cute and unique pumpkin teapots - and our grandchildren will as wellFall! The colors are starting to change, the leaves are beginning their sweet autumn descent, the temperatures are cooling, and there are several fun childrens toy and real tea party sets that are perfect for this truly delightful season. I thought it would be fun to do another series, this time with the focus all about fall harvest delights – both here and at my Squidoo site. Today’s post will be all about the tea sets – some new, some we’ve spotlighted previously but just in case you missed them, I am sharing bigger pictures of them. Upcoming will be tea party accessories, tasty goodies to eat and drink, and games and crafts with a harvest flavor. If you pop over to the side column, you can sign up for the free email update to keep you posted on when each article goes up. ♥♥♥♥

First up is this very delightful, slightly retro, childrens porcelain tea set. I thought the colors looked very autumny. What do you think? The one caveat to this set is that when you go to the site, it states “colors may vary.” Pish tosh! That does seem to make it a bit problematic. Then again, the pictures they show seem to be all about the same, so I think it will work out. But I did want to warn you. Better safe than sorry, true? ♥♥♥♥

Its fall and I love this autumn-al colored porcelain childrens toy tea set

Many of us have children or grandchildren who are getting older and more responsible. Many of those already have plenty of toys, gidgets, gadgets, and games so when it comes time for birthday and Christmas gifts, it can be quite difficult to figure out what to get them. For those children who have the inclination, unique and lovely children’s real tea party sets could be just the perfect surprise. And the nice thing is that you can get more than one (seasonal, floral, etc.) and they make a lovely addition to a sweet old-fashioned but oh-so-useful hope chest, if they have one.

That way, when this beloved child or grandchild is ready to go out into the world on their own, they will already have some special dishes of their own, coupled with delightful family memories to keep them from getting lonely. And for the time being, wouldn’t it be a fun tradition to not only give them such a precious gift, but to give them the even more valuable gift of spending time with them – having tea, chatting together, and continuing to forge those bonds of sweet closeness and memories at a time when it would be too easy to grow apart? (I have to admit, I’m getting a bit misty-eyed at the moment as I type this!  ♥♥♥♥) Here are some delightful sets I found that would do admirably for those special occasions (can you guess which is my favorite?):

This delightful set, featuring lovely autumn leaves, has a high-fired ceramic body and is hand painted. But it’s microwave and dishwasher safe (some of my favorite words). This set comes with two eight-ounce cups, a tray, and a 28-ounce teapot. I really like this, though the leaves aren’t a common shade for autumn – being more of a pink maroon. Then again, that makes this perfect for Pink Saturday!

Lovely fall and autumn children s real tea party sets

I really loved thise cute antique-style and very unique teapot, sugar, and creamer set. Until I read that they only have one available. Another pish-tosh, I must say. But it was so adorable, I HAD to share it with you. And who knows, maybe they will get more in.

LOVE this gorgeous pumpkin tea set - perfect for a children s real tea party set as they grow older

While the coloring for this cute tea set isn’t what I would consider autumn and harvest shaded, these unique teapots are shaped like pumpkins. These also have a limited quantity available (six) but not as limited as the gorgeous one above. And it is definitely cute as well.

Green pumpkin unique teapots and children s real tea party sets

I must admit, this is the one. The teapot and tea set I liked the best! I so love its colors. It’s beautifully hand painted in orange with green vines and yellow blossoms. It is 9″ x 6 ” and stands 5 3/4″ tall. Again, it’s dishwasher and microwave safe.

I just love all these cute and unique pumpkin teapots - and our grandchildren will as wellAnd not to worry, there are, indeed, matching and also unique tea cups with saucers that should do fine for holding a crumpet or a very cute cupcake with harvest decorations, don’t you think?  The cup is a 9 oz. cup that is beautifully hand painted in orange with green vines and yellow blossoms and made of porcelain with a 6″ green leaf shaped saucer. And yes, it’s also dishwasher and microwave safe.

The matching tea cup is as cute as the unique teapots for fall and autumn tea parties for children and their grandparents

Well, what do you think? Aren’t these lovely for celebrating the crisp sights and sounds of autumn time? Have you others to share with us? Please do! Just add them to the comments section below. And thank you so much for visiting. Happy Autumn!

My grandchildren and I had such a delightful time with our cute childs tea sets

Welcome to Part 3 of our Mad Hatter Tea Party Extraordinaire 2012. We had a great time picking out our two cute kids toy tea sets. Then came the Mad Hatter game that was so much fun! And now? The tea party itself!

The older grandchildren each took a colored cup, with the boys going for the bright red and yellow cups and the girls happily claiming the pink and green. The younger children were even more thrilled to use the teensy tiny pieces of the miniature Disney Princess toy tea set.

A delightful time was had by all children and grandmothers at our Mad Hatters Tea Party Extraordinaire for boys and girls alike
We added “tea” to the pots (fruit juice, in our case), and fish crackers to the plates (a delicacy beloved by all of them) and nibbled away with delight while I snapped even more photos.

This photo shows how tiny the smaller of the two childrens toy tea sets are

A joyful time was had by all the guests in complete costume, including a sweet princess, a cute cheerleader, a rugged FBI agent, an adorable penguin, and more.

The children loved the cheerleading fun for our Mad Hatter Tea Party complete with cute kids toy tea sets

At the end of this fun tea party for boys and girls, my grandchildren gave a big cheer when they heard the gladsome announcement that all the pieces of each of the cute kids toy tea sets were THEIRS to KEEP!  Then we adjourned from the table and moved to the living room to enjoy Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. A fun way to end our Mad Hatter Tea Party Extraordinaire 2012.

I can’t wait till Christmastime when they discover a lovely photo book creation that I’m preparing for them full of the best photos of our special tea party together, along with a fun little story to go along with it. Isn’t that a terrific way to enjoy the moment, then treasure the sweet memories even more in the years to come – for all of us.

A delightful chance to use cute kids toy tea sets for the Mad Tea Party

Welcome back! I’m so glad you’re here to discover just exactly what my grandkids and I ended up doing with our new toy tea sets for the Mad Tea Party at A Fanciful Twist on Saturday, July 28.

My cute grand children loved these two cute kids toy tea sets

I decided to make this a “Mad Hatter and Other Accessories” tea party for girls AND boys. That way, all the grandkids in our family could help me celebrate this year’s Mad Tea Party.

And this granddaughter arrived to our little girls tea party via bubbles - I think I may spy some fairies in the bubbles - do you

I went to the Dollar Tree and bought one or two each of a wide variety of fun items like a patriotic hat, princess tiaras, transformer party hats, flower hair clips, a princess scepter and tutu, a scientist’s magnifying glass, an FBI equipment kit, an alligator head “hat,” a microphone, a megaphone, and more!

Fun goodies for the children made a delightful prelude to our Mad Hatter Tea Party for boys and girls

When it was party time, I spread all the items out on the table and explained the rules of our “party game.” Each time I said “Mad Hatter,” all the kids hurried over to pick out 1-4 items to wear. Then I gave a camera to one grandchild – rotating turns each time – and we both snapped merrily away, capturing such fun photo poses.

Ms Alligator enjoyed her patriotic hat and the cute microphone at our Childrens Mad Hatter Tea Party Extraordinaire with cute tea tea sets for kids
They had such a delightful time. It was one of the favorite games that we’ve ever played, was enjoyed by all for well over an hour, and I suspect it will become an annual tradition. After all the grandchildren had enjoyed a wide variety of hat and costume fun, and we’d snapped hundreds of photos with the digital camera, it was time for:

The Mad Hatter Tea Party Extraordinaire 2012! To be continued…

And until then – a happy Pink Saturday.
