A fun winters tea party with snowflakes and tea setsHappy New Year! The holidays are over and outside playtimes are rather chilly. That means it’s the perfect time of year for a snowflake tea party, whether there’s any real snow outside or not! So start by grabbing your favorite children and grandchildren and a cute white toy tea set like this Children-Size Tea Cups & Saucers in a traditional and simple white porcelain with a 22K Gold trim,

A white childrens tea party set is perfect for January fun with your grandchildren

or, for that matter, a real tea set with snowflakes, like this October Hill Ceramic Snowflake Collection Teapot

Too cute for a kids toy tea party - its not a set but its adorable for January

which comes with matching tea cups.  What cute tea sets to share with our children and grandchildren.

Absolutely - our children and grandchildren will love these snowflake tea cup set too

Next, gather up some fun craft supplies for your winter snowflake tea party:

  • Construction Paper – white, a variety of shades, or maybe even some cute specialty paper with different shades and designs.
  • Markers and/or crayons
  • Scissors

Gather the children to a table and have them fold each sheet of paper in half, then in half again, then in half again. Instruct your little ones to take the scissors and cut clips on each of the sides to make cute and very simple snowflakes, like gorgeous creations:

Or, if you have older grandchildren, how about some really fancy snowflakes like these:

They can make their “snow flakes” all white or color them before OR after they have cut them. Then they can use them to decorate their room after their tea party. Or perhaps send one with an “I love you” note attached to a special grandparent or long distance friend.

Next, enjoy reading together from a fun snowy day book like The Big Snow by Berta Hader and Elmer Hader and Snow by P.D. Eastman.

For the tea party itself, how about straight pretzels dipped in white frosting. You could even use the frosting to glue them into snowflake shapes as fun and tasty snowflake snacks. Or you could use the really yummy, cute, and easy snowflake pretzels from Rold Gold.

And to drink? After all, it is a childrens tea party. How about herb tea like Bigelow Orange and Spice tea, warm apple cider, or my personal favorite – hot chocolate with a white “snowflake” of whipped cream on the top. Delicious!!!

A fun and tasty time for all, full of warmth, laughter, and lovely memories to enjoy for years. And very important – don’t forget to take plenty of photos. ♥♥♥♥

P.S. Have a lovely Pink Saturday.

Princess tea party ideas and toy tea sets are fun for our children and grandchildrenWelcome back to more in the series Think Pink! Childrens Princess Tea Party Sets and Ideas! Now that we have several cute toy tea sets to pick from, it’s time to continue on with our fun tea party ideas by planning some pink princess games and activities. Like…

1. Remember the popular kids’ game, Pin the Tail on the Donkey? Here’s an updated Princess version that your child or grandchild will definitely take personally – in the most positive of ways. Before the party, take big roll of paper, like the Melissa & Doug Easel paper roll, unroll it a bit and have her lay on it. Then you trace around her whole body. After that, it’s time for her to decorate it however she likes, with plenty of pink of course. Make sure she colors in her hair on the paper BUT puts nothing on the hair.

Print out several copies of this cute princess crown clipart – at least two per guest.

During the party, have the children each decorate their own crowns. Set one aside for later. Take the other crown and use it to play Pin the Crown on the Princess, using the paper trace you made of your little one. We like to use scotch tape rather than thumbtacks to attach it. Double-sided scotch tape works especially well. You just put one piece on the back of each crown, twirl them three times, and watch them have fun connecting crown to paper princess.

Princess bubble bottles go great with princess clipart and kids toy tea sets

2. Bubble Sceptors. – Provide each visiting princess with a bottle of bubbles like these cute princess bubbles or any type of bubble bottle along with a long bubble wand. Enjoy the delight of all the bubbles wafting around the children as they wave their “royal sceptors.”

3. After they are done with the bubbles and all is dry around them, it’s time to prepare their royal crowns. Using precut strips of pink construction paper (depending on the age of the girls, you made need to attach two strips together), have them attach the second of the crowns they decorated earlier to the middle of the paper strips with scotch tape or staples. Then provide sequins, stickers, buttons, and glitter so they can add little “jewels” that can be glued on with regular glue or you can help them with a hot glue gun.

Sequins will look cute on your princess crown clipart

4. If you have someone assisting you and a fast printer, take a picture of each princess. While they are enjoying the tea party, have your partner take the photos in, upload them to the computer, use a photo editor like iPiccy.com to save them as a coloring page, then print them out for the children to color. For example, I used iPiccy.com to turn this cute princess clipart (wouldn’t it be delightful for the invitations?)…

This pink princess and crown clipart is very cute for decorating your invites and goes well with just about any pink kids toy tea sets

into this adorable princess coloring page

If that isn’t an option for your party, you can always print these princess clipart coloring pages out for them to decorate, after they’ve had an enjoyable time with their cute childrens toy tea sets, a delicious cupcake or three, and some sparkling juice “tea.”

When it’s time for each little princess to head home, send them on their happy way with a lovely gift bag full of goodies. I often like to get my bags at the Dollar store as they usually have such great choices to pick from or you can order princess goodie bag sets online. To do it yourself, I would suggest:

  • More bubbles
  • A giant ring
  • Some candy – maybe in the shape of a ring
  • Princess stickers
  • Cute little bracelets
  • Their coloring page
  • Pink polka-dot balloons

Most important of all, have a lovely time, enjoy all your delightful new family memories, and snap lots of great photos. You and your little one will treasure the pictures of this adorable Princess tea party, complete with a very cute childrens tea set, for decades to come.

Cute-pink-princess-clipart-via-Childrens-Tea-Party-Sets-and-IdeasThanks in large part to Disney, I suspect, our little girls and granddaughters are often enthralled with everything PRINCESS. Naturally, that includes fun and adorable princess toy and real tea party ideas and sets.

My grandchildren are no exception and we’ve all enjoyed plenty of fun with our little girl pink princess tea parties. Today being a lovely Pink Saturday, it seems like a fun topic to explore, don’t you think? And I have to tell you, I have so many fun ideas, it will take me two or three posts to share them all with you!

Children’s Princess Toy Tea Sets

Of course, a childrens tea party must start with a cute children’s toy tea set. And I found three fun Disney princess tea sets for this.

First, is a little girls tea set that has been around for awhile, because it is so popular with the young and the young at heart. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed this adorable Disney Pink Princess toy tea set and I’m so glad they continue releasing them. Who knows, maybe our great-grandchildren will someday enjoy them as well!

It’s a 17-piece toy tea set that comes complete with a teapot and sugar bowl with lids, a creamer, four tea cups and sauces, and four spoons.

If you’d like a bigger tea set instead, or more pieces to add to the princess tea set, they also have a coordinating dinnerware set that is quite adorable. This one is a 30 piece set that includes a teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl – all  with lids, four cute tea cups and saucers, four plates – perfect for holding a pink princess cupcake, and four each of knives, spoons, and forks.

As you can see from the pictures, the shapes are not the same. Either works fine for the little kids as stand-alone toy tea sets but for large families, or a big party, it might be fun to mix and match them.

A nice addition to the Disney Princess toy tea sets are these cute dinnerware sets that also include a tea set plus extra dishes and other such items

Big Girls Disney Princess Porcelain Tea Set

For those granddaughters who have outgrown this cute set but have not outgrown their love for the Disney princesses, take a peek at this exquisite girls porcelain tea set. It’s definitely not a toy tea set for the very young unless you supervise quite closely. But isn’t it gorgeous! I know quite a few grown-ups who would also love this set!

These Lenox Fine Porcelain Disney Princess tea sets are for the older - very careful - girls and grandgirls in our family

These Lenox fine porcelain princess tea sets for children each have a teapot with three of the Disney princesses on it, along with two demi tea cups.  The teapot is five inches high and holds two cups. Each of the tea cups for this lovely set for older children is two inches high and can hold two ounces.

This would definitely be a special gift for a daughter or granddaughter who has started a collection of tea sets. I would probably get two sets but only use it for extra special Princess parties of 2-3 responsible older girls. Alternatively, you could give this a gift for their room and party decor, and use one of the cute but less fragile toy tea sets for the actual party fun.

Another unique idea for this delightful set is for your child to give it as a gift to a special grandmother for Mother’s Day, Christmas or her birthday along with an “IOU” for monthly tea parties together. Wouldn’t that put a huge smile on both faces!
