Fall! The colors are starting to change, the leaves are beginning their sweet autumn descent, the temperatures are cooling, and there are several fun childrens toy and real tea party sets that are perfect for this truly delightful season. I thought it would be fun to do another series, this time with the focus all about fall harvest delights – both here and at my Squidoo site. Today’s post will be all about the tea sets – some new, some we’ve spotlighted previously but just in case you missed them, I am sharing bigger pictures of them. Upcoming will be tea party accessories, tasty goodies to eat and drink, and games and crafts with a harvest flavor. First up is this very delightful, slightly retro, childrens porcelain tea set. I thought the colors looked very autumny. What do you think? The one caveat to this set is that when you go to the site, it states “colors may vary.” Pish tosh! That does seem to make it a bit problematic. Then again, the pictures they show seem to be all about the same, so I think it will work out. But I did want to warn you. Better safe than sorry, true? ♥♥♥♥
Many of us have children or grandchildren who are getting older and more responsible. Many of those already have plenty of toys, gidgets, gadgets, and games so when it comes time for birthday and Christmas gifts, it can be quite difficult to figure out what to get them. For those children who have the inclination, unique and lovely children’s real tea party sets could be just the perfect surprise. And the nice thing is that you can get more than one (seasonal, floral, etc.) and they make a lovely addition to a sweet old-fashioned but oh-so-useful hope chest, if they have one.
That way, when this beloved child or grandchild is ready to go out into the world on their own, they will already have some special dishes of their own, coupled with delightful family memories to keep them from getting lonely. And for the time being, wouldn’t it be a fun tradition to not only give them such a precious gift, but to give them the even more valuable gift of spending time with them – having tea, chatting together, and continuing to forge those bonds of sweet closeness and memories at a time when it would be too easy to grow apart? (I have to admit, I’m getting a bit misty-eyed at the moment as I type this! ♥♥♥♥) Here are some delightful sets I found that would do admirably for those special occasions (can you guess which is my favorite?):
This delightful set, featuring lovely autumn leaves, has a high-fired ceramic body and is hand painted. But it’s microwave and dishwasher safe (some of my favorite words). This set comes with two eight-ounce cups, a tray, and a 28-ounce teapot. I really like this, though the leaves aren’t a common shade for autumn – being more of a pink maroon. Then again, that makes this perfect for Pink Saturday!
I really loved thise cute antique-style and very unique teapot, sugar, and creamer set. Until I read that they only have one available. Another pish-tosh, I must say. But it was so adorable, I HAD to share it with you. And who knows, maybe they will get more in.
While the coloring for this cute tea set isn’t what I would consider autumn and harvest shaded, these unique teapots are shaped like pumpkins. These also have a limited quantity available (six) but not as limited as the gorgeous one above. And it is definitely cute as well.
I must admit, this is the one. The teapot and tea set I liked the best! I so love its colors. It’s beautifully hand painted in orange with green vines and yellow blossoms. It is 9″ x 6 ” and stands 5 3/4″ tall. Again, it’s dishwasher and microwave safe.
And not to worry, there are, indeed, matching and also unique tea cups with saucers that should do fine for holding a crumpet or a very cute cupcake with harvest decorations, don’t you think? The cup is a 9 oz. cup that is beautifully hand painted in orange with green vines and yellow blossoms and made of porcelain with a 6″ green leaf shaped saucer. And yes, it’s also dishwasher and microwave safe.
Well, what do you think? Aren’t these lovely for celebrating the crisp sights and sounds of autumn time? Have you others to share with us? Please do! Just add them to the comments section below. And thank you so much for visiting. Happy Autumn!
