tea party games

This pink princess and crown clipart is very cute for decorating your invites and goes well with just about any pink kids toy tea setsWelcome back to more of Think Pink! Childrens Princess Tea Party Sets and Ideas! In A Disney Tea Set…Or Three, I shared some very cute childrens tea sets – breakable as well as unbreakable. In Games and Activities, you’ll find some fun princess tea party games and ideas for your little princess and her royal court to enjoy after the tea party.

Today, it’s all about what to serve for this special little or big girls tea party.

As much as my elderly mom and I enjoy the “ritual” of a tea party, I much prefer no caffeine for the young moppets. So I personally use a variety of sugar-free juices as they are tasty and they look quite a bit like tea. In fact, for a Princess Tea Party, a pink-red juice would go perfect with our pink tea party theme.

Of course, you could also pick from a variety of herbal teas like Celestial Seasoning’s Wild Berry Zinger. Then you have a true tea without the caffeine.

If this is for an older girls tea party and they do like regular tea, how about the great tasting Earl Grey tea. Delicious!

I have had such fun the last week or so as I visited several intriguing sites here and there with the most elegant cakes and cupcakes you’ve ever seen. I just had to share a couple of them with you here, as they would definitely be the hit of your Disney Princess tea party if you were to serve one of them.

At Unique Bundt Cake Pans, I discovered such fun castle cake molds – which then led me to explore and discover yet another one – a princess castle. Perfect for this Disney Princess Tea Party, don’t you think? Here’s a picture of the finished cake.

Would a piece of this Wilton 301-910 Romantic Castle Cake look delightful on those cute childrens princess tea party sets

Then again, perhaps you’d like an easier treat, like cute cupcakes with intriguing  designs and decorations. Here’s a great Disney Princess cupcake stand.

Lovely - but much easier - these cute cupcake designs ideas and stand for your childs princess tea party and tea set

Another tasty choice would be easy sugar cookies. In fact, you could even incorporate these into the craft activities time by setting up a cookie frosting buffet for the little princesses where they can enjoy adding add frosting and decorations to the cookies they will then be eating at the tea party.

Fox Run has several princess cookie cutters including a castle, frog prince, tiara, wand, princess shoe and princess cone hat. These great cookie cutters are long-lasting tinplated steel cookie cutters.

Wilton also has a Princess cookie cutter set. It only has three pieces, but they are the most important ones – a castle, a crown and a glass slipper. The set also includes a roll-out cookie recipe and instructions for 3 decorating design ideas along with their coated metal cutters that cut cleanly and release with ease (if you’ve ever had cookie batter stick to the cookie cutter, you’ll know why I mentioned that!)

I have one more fun cupcake or cookie idea. Preset the table with their cookies or cupcakes, and include one at each place setting of the toy tea set that has their name written on it in frosting. Then they’d know where to sit and have sweet smiles a mile long at seeing their name on a tasty royal treat.

Lots of fun and tasty treat ideas for all our lovely little princesses and their Disney Princess tea party with a lovely pink tea set. Pass the cupcakes, please. ♥♥♥♥

Princess tea party ideas and toy tea sets are fun for our children and grandchildrenWelcome back to more in the series Think Pink! Childrens Princess Tea Party Sets and Ideas! Now that we have several cute toy tea sets to pick from, it’s time to continue on with our fun tea party ideas by planning some pink princess games and activities. Like…

1. Remember the popular kids’ game, Pin the Tail on the Donkey? Here’s an updated Princess version that your child or grandchild will definitely take personally – in the most positive of ways. Before the party, take big roll of paper, like the Melissa & Doug Easel paper roll, unroll it a bit and have her lay on it. Then you trace around her whole body. After that, it’s time for her to decorate it however she likes, with plenty of pink of course. Make sure she colors in her hair on the paper BUT puts nothing on the hair.

Print out several copies of this cute princess crown clipart – at least two per guest.

During the party, have the children each decorate their own crowns. Set one aside for later. Take the other crown and use it to play Pin the Crown on the Princess, using the paper trace you made of your little one. We like to use scotch tape rather than thumbtacks to attach it. Double-sided scotch tape works especially well. You just put one piece on the back of each crown, twirl them three times, and watch them have fun connecting crown to paper princess.

2. Bubble Sceptors. – Provide each visiting princess with a bottle of bubbles like these cute princess bubbles or any type of bubble bottle along with a long bubble wand. Enjoy the delight of all the bubbles wafting around the children as they wave their “royal sceptors.”

3. After they are done with the bubbles and all is dry around them, it’s time to prepare their royal crowns. Using precut strips of pink construction paper (depending on the age of the girls, you made need to attach two strips together), have them attach the second of the crowns they decorated earlier to the middle of the paper strips with scotch tape or staples. Then provide sequins, stickers, buttons, and glitter so they can add little “jewels” that can be glued on with regular glue or you can help them with a hot glue gun.

Sequins will look cute on your princess crown clipart

4. If you have someone assisting you and a fast printer, take a picture of each princess. While they are enjoying the tea party, have your partner take the photos in, upload them to the computer, use a photo editor like iPiccy.com to save them as a coloring page, then print them out for the children to color. For example, I used iPiccy.com to turn this cute princess clipart (wouldn’t it be delightful for the invitations?)…

into this adorable princess coloring page

If that isn’t an option for your party, you can always print these princess clipart coloring pages out for them to decorate, after they’ve had an enjoyable time with their cute childrens toy tea sets, a delicious cupcake or three, and some sparkling juice “tea.”

When it’s time for each little princess to head home, send them on their happy way with a lovely gift bag full of goodies. I often like to get my bags at the Dollar store as they usually have such great choices to pick from or you can order princess goodie bag sets online. To do it yourself, I would suggest:

  • More bubbles
  • A giant ring
  • Some candy – maybe in the shape of a ring
  • Princess stickers
  • Cute little bracelets
  • Their coloring page
  • Pink polka-dot balloons

Most important of all, have a lovely time, enjoy all your delightful new family memories, and snap lots of great photos. You and your little one will treasure the pictures of this adorable Princess tea party, complete with a very cute childrens tea set, for decades to come.

The time has come-to talk of many things-of a little boy tea party and set and a little girls tea party and childrens tea set - of fairies and fun and things.jpg

In the book, Through the Looking Glass, by Lewis Carrol, which is another story about the famous Alice and her Wonderland, there is a poem called The Walrus and the Carpenter. It has a verse I love to quote, with slight changes each time to make it appropriate to each new situation. It seemed especially perfect for this wonderfully sweet, mad, mysterious moment in time:

“The time has come,” the Walrus said,

“To talk of many things:

Of shoes–and ships–and sealing-wax–

Of a little boys tea party

With a mismatched childrens tea set and things…

I must say, I have had such a delightful time over the past few weeks, visiting grandchildren near and far, having one little boys or girls tea party after another, and snapping photos like you wouldn’t believe! I think I’ve taken more pictures in the last month than I have all year long – both for our family album and for this, my Childrens Tea Party Sets and Ideas “Touch of Grandma Madcap Fun and Grandchildren Glee 2010.” It’s been great, and the grandchildren and I have created so many special memories in the process. That, of course, is the most important part of it all.

Kids Toy Tea Sets otherwise known as Childrens Tea Party Sets and Ideas is joining in the fun at the Mad Tea Party 2010 at A Fanciful Twist

However, this being the time for the Mad Tea Party 2010 at A Fanciful Twist, it does behoove us to say many thanks to A Fanciful Twist for this very fun time, and share some of the delight with all of you, although, after several hours of cutting, pasting, fixing, editing, writing, and rearranging, there’s so so so many more pictures. I can tell we’ll be having fun for months to come. But for now, without further adieu…

The fun started earlier this week with a peaceful, quiet Sweet Tea Sunday. Then we enjoyed a vibrantly red childrens tea party with a bright red tea set for Rednesday. And now, the official moment we’ve been looking forward to since we read the fun invitation from A Fanciful Twist for the Mad Tea Party 2010, and it begins with my little grandsons. They went on a busy tea treasure hunt and found all sorts of intriguing creatures who wanted to join us for a little boys tea party with a little boys mismatched tea set…

There was the mysterious tea cup and tea pot, complete with fuzzy moustache…

And putting them all away,

Of sleepily sharing with mums and dads

The fun and special memories of each and every day
