WELCOME to Children’s Tea Party Sets and Ideas as we join in the fanciful fun of a Mad Tea Party 2012 at The Fanciful Twist! Over the last few days, I’ve shared all the fun my grandchildren and I had during our own Mad Hatter Tea Party Extraordinaire 2012 for boys and girls alike.
Today, I wanted to share the story I wrote for the photo book I’m preparing for them for Christmas. Shhhhh, don’t tell on me. ♥♥♥♥
Once upon a time, a fairy princess invited several guests from the royal kingdom to join her for a special Mad Hatter Childrens Tea Party Extraordinaire.

All were quite excited to hear about this delightful party and put on their most interesting clothes.

They invited their favorite stuffed animals and dolls and arrived promptly on time to the princess’ lovely castle.
The princess greeted each guest with a lovely smile, all the while holding a most mysterious bag.
When all the guests were present, the princess escorted the guests to a giant table with such cute toy tea sets at one end.
On the other end, she set the strange bag down and tapped it. Instantly, cute costumes danced in the air, just waiting to be selected.
The children all shouted with glee! At the direction of the princess, they each took turns trying on all the different and delightful costumes. After a while, every child had discovered just the right outfit that they liked best.

The princess took a photo of each of them – and another of all of them together. Then she turned, waited for the giant table to kneel down so she could clamber atop it, and once it was back into table-like position, she faced the children and announced, “Welcome to the Mad Hatter Children’s Tea Party Extraordinaire! It’s…”

Unlike Alice in Wonderland, however, this Mad Hatter tea party had no dormouse in the teapot.

There were, however, delicious goldfish crackers at each plate – and even some hiding in the teapot.

After every child had enjoyed the fun refreshments, they merrily headed for the princess’ meadow, full of delightful spring and summer flowers, to tumble and twirl and dance around.
Finally it was time for the party to come to a sweet end…this year…But as the lovely princess sang to them, “Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya Tomorrow! You’re always A day away!” Then, with a gleeful grin, she invited them all back for another fun tea party tomorrow!
Such fun – for grandchildren and grandmother alike! And hopefully, you – my honored guests – as well! And now, it’s time to head to the bigger party, the Mad Tea Party 2012 at The Fanciful Twist, as you continue to enjoy tea party fun, making this quite a special and delightful day. So my grandchildren and I will now bid you adieu! Unless…did you miss the first three articles in this series? Hi Sylvia, Thank you for your delightful visit and invite. What fun childrens tea set ornaments you have at your site!
Good question, Rhissanna. Adagio.com points out that Lavender “Lavender has a long history of medicinal, culinary and household use. For one, its sweet, floral fragrance is notably soothing, invoking relaxation.” They have an Earl Grey combined with Lavender that does have several good reviews, so it would seem so. ♥♥♥♥
Very much so, Val. Thanks for your lovely visit. ♥♥♥♥

Aren’t they tasty, Myrna. My grandkids and I do love them! ♥♥♥♥
Oh dear, I am so late to the party! I followed the wrong white rabbit and ended up in Oz instead. But I am so glad I finally made it here! What a sweet, sweet party – such lovely costumes and delish little fish – thank you for saving me some! I must dash now…Blessings!
Talk about being late! It’s August 7 th. already. But it must be tea time somewhere. I was a tad disappointed there wasn’t any dormouse, but to speak truthfully, I much prefer to eat fish crackers anyways. Not that I would ever eat a mouse, mind you. I just like to play with them. I wouldn’t mind sharing tea with them every day, but my wife always has a fit when I invite one home. Oh well. I did so enjoy the romp through the summer flowers. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!
Hi William! So nice to see you again for tea this year! And what a fun visit. I have to admit, I’m with your wife. Bring a mouse of any type in the house and I’ll run out the other door screaming. Unless, of course, it’s the adorable mouse puppet one grandson just got. ♥♥♥♥
What a delightful visit Donna. And not to worry, I’m always running late myself. I do hope you enjoyed Oz and all its lovely colors! Have a lovely week!
